Hope California to Bring Thousands to Jesus

Another spiritual revival is set to take thousands closer to Jesus. Following the success in Asbury University, a major outreach movement is in motion in California.

“Hope California” aims to fill 10 stadiums across the Golden State on April 1 and Palm Sunday. Organized by pastors Lou Engle and Mando Matthews, Hope California is the culmination of the statewide 40-Day Fast which started on February 22. “We are going after the Harvest,” said Matthews.

Various movements, ministries and churches will come together on Hope California to do outreach and evangelize the community. Seven cities in California and 3 in the Baja region are joining this epic event of simultaneous fellowship to bring the transformational hope of Jesus to save souls and bring people to God.

Matthews explained that they are working with different churches in all ten regions for Hope California. “We have set seven of the venues are stadiums, and three are actually iconic venues like the capitol steps in Sacramento, a pier in San Francisco, and a big festival venue park in Santa Barbara. And then the rest are all at stadiums where it will happen simultaneously on April the first and second, Palm Sunday weekend.”

This momentous event started with a dream. Matthews shared that God planted a two-part vision in him wherein California is the place where many people would surrender their life to Him. In the first part of the dream, the pastor saw the sun rising, not setting, over the coast of California. The second part showed 10 stadiums filled for harvest festivals.

“And so we’re believing actually and really going for it in that what would happen if all of California was, say, healed, delivered, set free?” Matthews asked. “And so that’s what we’re doing in each of these regions, each of these stadiums we’re believing for the release of Luke 4:18 which is the mission of Jesus.”

Matthews said he saw 10 stadiums in 10 cities in California filled with believers. He kept seeing the numbers 10/10 which he believes also meant John 10:10 “The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.”

In a video, Matthews pointed out that California was the first place of revivals and movements, but now has been a center of hopelessness wherein people fall prey to sin, injustice and inequality. He maintains that California belongs to Jesus Christ, who will bring hope to people.

A thousand believers per venue are expected on March 24 to prepare for the Hope Fest gatherings. “A thousand people in each region to blitz the streets of California with the love of Jesus. We’ll have outreaches in every single city. And so people can go to our web site, www.hopecalifornia.us to sign up and come and join us,” Matthews told CBN News.

Matthews sees that the sun is already starting to rise in California with the success of their first prayer and harvest campaign in 2021 wherein Christians filled 10 tents in 10 cities. During the event, “hundreds were saved, baptized, healed and delivered.”

This year, organizers believe that the 10 stadiums across the state will be packed with people thirsty for God’s word and cities will be transformed for Jesus. “We are expecting a groundswell of hope in California from the street corners to the stadiums!”
